Loki
The moment I saw Loki, barely any fur and thin, I was in love. I didn’t care if he grew his hair back or not, I just wanted him to know how much he meant to me and how much he was loved. He loved our grandkids, tolerated the cat, had a secret admiration for our shy girl CoCoa, teased Majick when he was a pup, and ran with Hazel and Jake when he was at his best. One of his most favorite things to do was to wander our yard. He was content to find a spot in the sun and go to sleep. Always needed a personal escort in though. People talk of heart dogs and while I love each and every one of mine, Loki was my heart dog. He taught me how to be patient, calm, open and how to love unconditionally. For this and much more, he is already hugely missed. Last night my sweet boy told me that he was ready to go. It broke our hearts saying our goodbyes but it was the right thing to do for him. All he ever wanted was to please us (me in particular) and it was what we could do for him. RIP my sweet Loki and may your walk across that Rainbow Bridge bring you youthfulness and freedom from pain and all that you so rightly deserve. You will always be loved.
