Rainbow Bridge Memories

This page is dedicated in loving memory to the MNSR foster and adopted Shelties who are waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge.

Rainbow Bridge Stories

Ramsey came into rescue in need of love, consistency, and a family who could establish trust with him. He found all of that with his foster family who fell in love with their sweet, complex little boy and helped him to gain confidence through training and agility. Ramsey blossomed into a loving, happy Sheltie who enjoyed his canine siblings. He bonded with dad over their mutual love of pretzels, and his mom was his everything. On March 29th, 2022 Ramsey ran across the Rainbow Bridge to meet up with Sammy the Rottweiler & Faith the Rottweiler. I smothered him with kisses and said a last goodbye. We felt lucky to have him.

Charlie was a happy, energetic and affectionate Sheltie with a zest for life. He loved his daily walks in the woods with his family, and romping in the backyard with his Sheltie siblings over the years. When a Sheltie sibling wasn’t up for playtime, he and his feline sibling loved to roll around and wrestle. Charlie was such a delight and we dearly miss him. Charlie crossed the Rainbow Bridge on March 22nd, 2022, reuniting with Katie, Roxy and Zach.

Champ found his way to a family who enjoyed his boundless energy. He ran thousands of laps keeping the backyard squirrel-free, going round and round the shed, to the bemusement of the neighbors. In true Sheltie form, Champ loved to circle and spin, which his family and guest found comical. Champ crossed the Rainbow Bridge on March 4th, 2022. "We are so blessed to have had these years with him and thank MN Sheltie Rescue for giving us this opportunity."

Our adorable Sheltie Charlie, who we adopted about 7 years ago crossed the Rainbow Bridge on February 25th, 2022. Charlie loved his routines, rolling in the snow, and lying on the deck observing his little world. He was so excited for his daily walk and car ride. He told us when it was time to go to bed and to get up, and gave a “look” when it was time for us to eat supper. We are forever grateful to Mn Sheltie for allowing us to adopt him. We gave him a wonderful life and will miss him so much!
