Eight years ago, I asked MNSR if we could foster the next Sheltie/Pom. The very next week, we met with Peanut’s owner and learned that he was 7 years old, not house broke, and strong willed. The owner had contacted other rescues but they couldn’t take him. We were his last hope before going to an overcrowded shelter. We loaded him in the car inside his crate. He got out & climbed in my lap. We realized he had picked us & he was home. |
Bandit’s humans knew instantly that he was the dog for them and he stole their hearts. He had a lifelong friend in his canine sister Willow, and when a little human came along in the family, Bandit was happy to have a buddy to cuddle with at night. Bandit crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 12th, 2021 and is very much missed by his loving family. |
My Little Coni, my precious shetland sheepdog, who had such joyful energy and zest for life, especially playing ball and being with others, has passed on to heaven. I am so grateful for the time I had with him and for Linda & Ken to introduce me to him through Minnesota sheltie rescue. He brought such joy to everyone he met and loved to be with others. I so enjoyed traveling with him to Wisconsin and throughout Minnesota to see friends and family, he was the best traveling partner I could ever have. He will always leave a very special pawprint and place in my heart. |
Jimmy and Ollie, two very bonded brothers, were able to stay together after coming into rescue. They loved going for walks with their family, hanging out in their beautiful Colorado backyard, taking naps together, and were never apart from each other. Jimmy crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 7th, 2020, and his beloved best friend and brother followed him on December 28th, 2020. |
