Dori’s family helped her to feel safe and loved, and her confidence and personality blossomed. She was a mentor to foster Baylee Blu, as big brother Doolittle had been for her. Dori & Baylee were two peas in a pod who loved hanging out in the backyard to sunbathe and eating cream together. Dori was the almighty protector; no squirrel, bird or leaf were allowed in the yard, though bunnies and ducks were permitted. Dori loved to go behind the floor lamp to sleep and she would put her back feet up on the base! |

We fostered Sapphire as a puppy in 2008. We soon realized we were going to join a group of people called ‘foster failures’. We just couldn’t part with her and we will be forever grateful that MN Sheltie Rescue let her join our family. Sapphire was a double merle sheltie. She was born deaf, however she didn’t know it. She was so intuitive that at times we would test to see if she really was deaf. I always felt she could hear with her heart. |
