Rainbow Bridge Memories

This page is dedicated in loving memory to the MNSR foster and adopted Shelties who are waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge.

Rainbow Bridge Stories

Zander was adopted by his foster family who lovingly nursed him back to health. He adored his big brother Niko and they played together constantly. Zander enjoyed going to obedience and agility classes, keeping the yard free of bunnies and squirrels, and watching dog movies on TV. He was a darling, sweet boy who was cherished and loved fiercely by his family. Zander rejoined his beloved brother Niko and sister kitty Pindle at the Rainbow Bridge.

Toby lived a happy, healthy and long life. He was 14 yrs and 8 months, never acted his age ever, was perpetually young! After a normal day where he was full of energy and went on his favorite routine morning and early evening walks, Toby went to his bed around 8:30, stretched out and went to sleep. He never woke up when I went to check on him. He passed away very peacefully around 10:30. Toby will be greatly missed by many of his furry friends, and especially his forever family of nine years. Our hearts will be forever touched by his unconditional love.

I want to thank everyone at MNSR for giving us the opportunity to adopt Brixter into our family over 7 years ago. We had to say goodbye to our little sweetheart Brixter today. We are so glad we adopted this senior boy. He was smart, energetic, spunky, so much fun, and such a happy little fellow. I will remember all the fun times we had with him. He was like my little shadow and was always eager to go out and have fun. This last year he was struggling and we would take him on wagon rides instead of walking or running, which he loved to do. Saturday, we took him to the park with his wagon and he enjoyed riding around and being outdoors seeing the ducks and geese. I wish we had at least 7 more years with this sweet boy. He will be greatly missed.

Winnie’s family was committed to helping her achieve and maintain a healthy weight. She got so excited for her daily walks with dad, and barking and playing in the snow. Winnie gained her angel wings on September 20th, 2022.
