Rainbow Bridge Memories

This page is dedicated in loving memory to the MNSR foster and adopted Shelties who are waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge.

Rainbow Bridge Stories

When MNSR took in a pregnant female Sheltie in 2006, Tulla was one of 5 pups in the litter and the first to find her forever home. She became big sister to two human boys with whom she had a very special bond, and found best friends in her Sheltie sister and GSD brother. Tulla was such a happy girl, and so very loved. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge in May 2020.

Willie came into rescue thanks to some very kind people who saw that he was emaciated and in poor health. Willie's devoted foster family nursed him back to health and, with a lot of patience, they won his trust and became his forever family. With a heavy heart, I would like to let you know we lost Willie in May. He was a great companion until the end and still wanted to be with us.

It is with a heavy heart we let you know that Saydee Mae went to the rainbow bridge on May 28th, 2020. Her kidneys were failing, she stopped eating, letting us know it was her time. She was the best little dog. She used to pick up anything and everything off the floor and bring it to you - papers, shoes, anything she could find. She would do it on command. I used to tell her to find my cellphone and she would look and find it and then bring it to me. She was so funny and such a happy dog. She was almost identical to my first sheltie and such a joy. She attached herself to my son over me - he is having a hard time losing her as well. We couldn’t have asked for a better little gal. Thanks, MN sheltie rescue, for bringing her into our lives...she was well loved and will be sorely missed.

With heavy hearts we wanted everyone at MN Sheltie Rescue to know that Nellie crossed the rainbow bridge on May 26th, 2020. That little dog brought so much joy into all our lives. We fostered Nellie and were fortunate to have my husband's parents adopt her. Nellie loved patrolling the yard. She had a great view of the park next door, and she spent a lot of time at the window making sure no one was getting into mischief. Nellie loved singing with the family. Birthday or Christmas carols, Nellie didn’t care. She'd howl right along with us. Thank you MN Sheltie Rescue for letting Nellie become a part of our clan. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
