Rainbow Bridge Memories

This page is dedicated in loving memory to the MNSR foster and adopted Shelties who are waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge.

Rainbow Bridge Stories

With heavy hearts we wanted everyone at MN Sheltie Rescue to know that Nellie crossed the rainbow bridge on May 26th, 2020. That little dog brought so much joy into all our lives. We fostered Nellie and were fortunate to have my husband's parents adopt her. Nellie loved patrolling the yard. She had a great view of the park next door, and she spent a lot of time at the window making sure no one was getting into mischief. Nellie loved singing with the family. Birthday or Christmas carols, Nellie didn’t care. She'd howl right along with us. Thank you MN Sheltie Rescue for letting Nellie become a part of our clan. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.

Sadie was a joy to us always. Sweet, affectionate, bossy, always right where her people were, and my cuddle buddy. She happily snowbirded with us in California and went home to Minneapolis for summers. With the help of Peaceful Pathways, Sadie passed peacefully, her nose over her paws just as she napped, at home in our yard that she vociferously defended against the squirrels who ran along the fence. Thank you to Minnesota Sheltie Rescue for giving us the gift of the last almost 4 years with our sweet Sadie.

It was love at first sight when Rusty and his family met at a community event, and he was soon joined by MNSR Sheltie Daisy, his best pal. We lost our beloved Rusty in April. It was such a sad day for us, and we still miss our sweet baby.

Our sweet Ruby crossed the Rainbow Bridge on April 27th, 2020.  We were so happy to have her as part of our family for over 7 years. While in foster care, she made friends with our Sheltie Jackson when he visited Top Dog Country Club. He brought her home to meet us and she immediately felt like a member of the family. Ruby enjoyed fetch with the tennis ball and was quite proficient at Frisbee. She loved being inside mostly and never missed a meal or a treat. Ruby was 1 month shy of her 15th birthday. Thank you MNSR for letting her come to live with us. She is greatly missed by the whole family, but especially her buddy, Jackson.
