With great sadness, my Parker (left) crossed the Rainbow Bridge on October 31st, 2018 at 15 years of age. Parker came to MNSR in 2006. His mom met him and Dustin at the same time. She fell in love with both, couldn't choose between the two, so she picked both! Dustin & Parker became brothers and were inseparable until Dustin's passing in 2016. Parker & Dustin loved wrestling, helping mom pick raspberries, spying on the neighbor dogs, barking, playing fetch, and going up to the lake. The brothers are together again, and will be forever missed. |
We searched a long time for the perfect family for Allie and she couldn't have been more loved or happier than she was with them: “We were lucky enough to have Allie in our lives for such a short time, from April 2016 until she earned her angel wings on October 13th, 2018. She occupied every corner of our home with all her squeaky toys and beds (at least one in every room, some had two!). She loved her backyard the best, always up for a game of Frisbee or ball. Frisbee was her favorite; she would play all day if we let her. She was 9 years old, but played like a puppy. It was devastating to lose her as suddenly as we did. We are heartbroken without her.” |
Kizzy rescued our family in 2011. She was petite, gentle, and a loving girl. She loved all the attention of the neighborhood kids who would run up and surround her to pet her. Kizzy is missed by canine pals Maddie, Sarge, Thor, Bear, Toby, Eddie, Luna, Mable & Bandit, and sheltie buddies Charlie and Duggan. Kizzy brought so much joy, and losing her has left a huge void. Forever would not have been long enough. Kizzy went to the Rainbow Bridge on September 30, 2018, just a few weeks before her 11th birthday, and is with sheltie sister Sasha. |
Little Chauncy came into rescue with his Sheltie best friend, Casey. We kept our promise to them to keep them together for life, and sadly Casey passed away from cancer soon after arriving in rescue. Chauncy was very loved by his foster/forever mom, who described him as a bundle of fun in a little package. He happily bounced around the house like a puppy, and he was always up for an adventure. His favorite pasttime was playing outside in the grass. He was quite an active and energetic senior, and though he had lost his sight, he still loved to run around with his Sheltie sisters Abbey & Annie. He was a great bestie to Shelties. Chauncy crossed the Rainbow Bridge on September 26th, 2018 at the age of 15 years & 10 months, reuniting with his angel sister Casey. |
