Tasha's forever family committed to helping her through her fears and insecurities through ongoing training, and developed a very close bond with her during their journey together. Tasha grew to love snuggles, enjoyed keeping the squirrels on their toes, and thrived when she could learn new tricks and games, making this part of her daily morning routine. She even learned to come running when her mom would whistle the theme song from "Lassie"! Tasha crossed the Rainbow Bridge on April 26th, 2019, dearly missed by her loving family. |

Katie surprised us with a litter of puppies shortly after arriving in rescue. We were so grateful to find a very loving forever home for her where she could be cherished and pampered as she deserved. Katie thrived on (and insisted on) her routines, and was full of joy as she played with her Sheltie brother Mac, fetched her toys, or took her family on walks. Her family loved her spunky personality and she was so smart. Katie crossed the Rainbow Bridge on April 19th, 2019, and is so very missed. |

Sweet Pea came to us from a humane society as a very shy and scared little girl. Her mom worked with her to help her find her confidence and to feel more comfortable with her world. She grew to love having human guests, seeking attention and treats, and she was a great hostess for canine visitors, figuring out how to entice them to play with her. Sweet Pea crossed the Rainbow Bridge on April 18th, 2018, reuniting with her sweet brother and role model, Winslow. |

11 and a half years ago, Katy, this sweet, gentle soul came into our lives. Frightened, shy, but always curious. She had been raised in a 3x3 cage as she was a Puppy Mill rescue. She was broken but she fought long and hard to overcome her past. The first thing we could get her to eat was hot dogs... In these last days, that is again what she got...her beloved hot dogs! She went from a dog that hid in a closet, to greeting people at the door when they came over. She went from not allowing anyone to touch her, to soft butterfly nudges and hugging and holding. She went from not barking, to barking softly when she wanted to alert to possible intrusions (in her mind). Katy was able to enjoy her last Sheltie reunion. Even though sadness overwhelms us, I am so very blessed and thankful that our little Katy chose us, graced us with her beauty and kind, gentle spirit. She never demanded anything but gave us her heart, soul and trust. |
